Originally from Cádiz and based in Scotland since 2002, I am a flamenco artist dedicated to performance, education and cultural outreach. Growing up surrounded by music in Andalusia, I later found my artistic voice in Scotland—bringing with me the essence and rhythm of my homeland.
I have collaborated on numerous projects blending flamenco with Latin and world music, and I am the lead singer with the Daniel Martínez Flamenco Company, touring major theatres and festivals across the UK with productions such as Art of Believing and Andalucía.
Since 2006, I have performed annually at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, both independently and through TuFlamenco, the company I co-founded in 2018. TuFlamenco produces performances and offers classes and workshops in guitar, singing, rhythm, dance and compás throughout Scotland, both in-person and online.
Beyond the stage, I lead rhythm and body percussion workshops in schools, hospitals and community centres, working with people of all ages and abilities. For me, flamenco is more than music—it is expression, therapy and connection. My aim is to share its emotional depth, energy and joy with every audience.
